1999 Accord codes
Hello. I am looking at buying a '99 Accord EX 4cyl. auto. It is pulling 4 codes (I think 2 are the same P1399 and PO302) It sounds like this one could be the deal breaker??? The other 2 codes are P1457 and P1259. I have the lookup software but I know nothing about cars. Are these expensive fixes? The purchase price is below book but I'm afraid that the repairs will be quite high. Any help you would be able to give me would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: 1999 Accord codes
You can check for your codes here:
http://engine-codes.com/search_codes.php?q=p01457 The first two codes may be caused by old/bad spark plugs. P0159 - might be low on oil. P0147 might be bad fuel cap. These codes, even easy to fix, point at no/little car care. My Accord with perfect conditions has about 2K of the blue book value. I wonder how much they want for it in your area.

Re: 1999 Accord codes
Thanks for your info. The guy selling the car fixed the codes that I originally posted. I bought the car, $1,600.00, I drove it quite a bit today and now I have a new code, PO325 Knock Sensor, no signal. The car seems to be taken care of. It runs well...but I can not help but to think that I like my 93 Lumina better...nothing ever went wrong with it except wear parts.
