Hello a friend and I are plaing a trip trought americas
We ll start form mexico and end up in montreal.
In the states we want to visir different rock climbing location so we ll need a car. (in mexico too but they have more public transports) in canada we have just a couple of destination so the car is less important.

Renting a car in the US for 1 mouth cost about 1000 dollars

how mich would it cost to buy one with the insurance and everything?
how hard is it for 2 belgians to get car insurance in the US?
should I ask some old friend I haven t speak to in 8 years to get it for me and let me borrow the car (with an official letter) and in fact buying the car from them?

Have the car in mexico is not as necessary as in the US but it would be more confortable... so here come the same 3 question but about mexico
