I need some more ideas for easy customizing...
SO, I already have the thread for my mesh grille insert, but I want more ways to easily (and/or cheaply) customize my Jeep. Like anything that can be done in a day for cheap ($100 or less). Like I want somthing like StreetGlow, but thats illegal to use in MN. So I dont know exactly what I can do. Reply with any ideas you can come up with. Cuz I'm drawing a blank here... Thanks.

How about a custom air intake? You could do your own throttle body if you have a dremel. New plugs and wires maybe. Or are you just going for looks?

have a go at trying to tint your own windows. if you've ever applied a vinyl before, it's more or less a similar task.
also, try prying off some of the plastic trim on your car's body and painting it to match a color scheme you might have planned in your head. spraypaint is pretty cheap and the outcome can turn out looking very nice.

Re: I need some more ideas for easy customizing...
Haha good ideas. I dont want to touch the intake or anything cuz hoenstly, I dont trust myself in that area. Tint would be feasable, but people always say that if you tint your windows yourself it'll come out badly. But a guy (a Porscheguy mabey? Oh I'm funny...) can always have a go at it. The pulling off the plastic is a great idea that could very well work. And the shaving would be cool. But I'm 17 and, ahem, dont have the sufficiant funds to complete said task. Thanks though for the ideas.

Do you have a paint scheme in mind yet of what you want your jeep to be eventually painted. If so do some interior mods like pulling the plastic trim panels and painting them to go with the paint scheme or pulling the headliner out and redoing that yourself (which is quite easy) to get some looks inside. All can be done easily and cheaply.

Re: I need some more ideas for easy customizing...
Lifting is good but takes alot of money and time to get it completely done the right way, that's one area you don't want to rig things up as you could be in a world of hurt if something goes wrong. He's lookin for quick things to do in a day or weekend for pretty cheap (I'm guessing while he saves up for big things like lifts and paint). So cheap easy things are modify the interior and paint to match color scheme of vehicle, simple engine mods and exhaust mods like new k&n air intake, stainless steel braided hose kits for hoses on engine, high performance plugs and plug wires, paint parts of engine to dress it up, tint the windows.

Re: I need some more ideas for easy customizing...
i had an idea for my SUV, but never went through with it. i was thinking about putting some yellow LEDs on the sides of my step rail - similar to what semi trucks have.
similar to those on the side of the truck, but on my step rails and, of course, proportionately smaller. if you don't have step rails, you could try just mounting some on your side skirts |

Re: I need some more ideas for easy customizing...
Recently I have installed LED strips on the both footwells and on the back of the seats in my grand am gt, simple stuff and if you go to the right places it can be cheap. They come in multiple colors and most already have an adhesive strip on the back so you can you peel and stick.
