2004 Ion Power window Problem

The passenger front power window and the driver passenger power windows will not go up or down using the switches. They went down but would not go up. Now they will do nothing. If I hook up a jumper wires to the lift motor and then to the battery I can get them to go up and down by switching the wires between + and -.
I have changed the switches on the door and the main switches and still will not work.
Am I looking at a bad window regulator or a wireing issue?

Re: 2004 Ion Power window Problem

If you can jumper the motors and the windows work like they should, then the motor and regulators are ok, since you replaced the switches and they still don't work, it's not the switches. Time to check for broken wires between the switches and the motors. They usually break in the pass through between the door and the body.
