98 S10 tranny problem?

My son called me today to pick him up. His 98 S10 would shift into gear but wouldn't go forward or into reverse. New clutch 6 months ago, hoping something simple like low gear oil or worse? Any ideas?

Thanks

You need to have a look at it.
2 0r 4W?
Check fluid level and shift linkage first.
If fluid and linkage is ok then if no reverse and no transmission out put it is a dead duck.
Got any warranty on new clutch job?
