1986 ram RWD to AWD conversion
I'm looking to convert my 1986 Dodge Ram D150 from RWD to AWD, but I don't have the automotive experience quite yet. If anyone could give pointers or know where I could get advice, I would be grateful. Also were I could find parts to do the conversion would be much appreciated, because my search has been coming up short. Thanks.

Re: 1986 ram RWD to AWD conversion
Hope your drill bits are sharp and you have good welding skills.
The best trick is to call the wrecking yards for a wrecked 1986 4wd 150 to get all the parts for a change over. Another possibility is a rust bucket 1986 4wd 150 on ebay. Changing the front suspension from A-Frame to leaf spring will be a challenge including the steering. If you're wanting real AWD and have very deep pocket$$$, you can look for the running gear from a wrecked Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 for sale.
