Front wheel bearing replacement cost
Does $600 sound too high to have both front wheel bearings replaced on a 2003?

Re: Front wheel bearing replacement cost
What is their rate per hour? Most shops charge by the hour and use a software program to calculate costs. For example, if the job shows it takes 2 hours labor and they charge $75/hr...you are looking at $150 in labor fees plus parts. Try and find a shop that will let you purchase your own wheel bearing/hub assembly and let them install it. It is a cheaper alternative to buying "their" parts (which they get from the SAME store you can).

Re: Front wheel bearing replacement cost
From what I can find, labor is 1.6hrs per side (3.2hrs for both) and OEM bearings are around 90.00 each. So figure around 180.00 plus tax and 3.2hrs x labor rate.
