'94 GTO Check engine false alarm?
'94 Lebaron GTO - My check engine light goes on intermittently, sometimes stays on, sometimes goes right back off. No symtoms. Diagnostic code 55 - basically no code. Anyone else have this problem"

Have you tried to retrieve codes while the CEL is lit?

Probably a false code or maybe an forthcoming problem but I wouldn't worry too much. Just make sure all electrical connections especially grounds are clean and tight. I would also run some fuel system cleaner in it occasionally. Good luck.

Right now, everything is working fine, but I suspect a bad ground somewhere, which will probably rear up again. Also, the bad ground could be internally in the fan motor. I'll try wringing the circuit tomorrow, but have little hope until the problem re-surfaces. I'll post when I find something out. |
