Shifting into higher gear problem/ accelerator lacks resistance
Hi all,
I have a 1994 Jeep GC 4.0 and it has recently developed a problem that or course isn't present when I have had my mechanic friend look at it. It is having a problem shifting from 2nd to 3rd, I think. When the problem is there, if it shifts at all from 2nd to 3rd, it does it around 4k RPM. The strangest thing about this problem is that when it's present, the gas pedal is extremely easy to push. Its like it has almost no resistance. This problem is not there very often, but when it is, I wont go faster than about 45 mph, for fear of overrevving. |
