dash fuse problem
i have a 1998 chevrolet blazer. the thermostat guage, fuel guage, the square showing what gear im in. my batter light comes on 4wheel drive buttons shut off and the rear windo and wiper switches dont work. i have replaced the fuzes and they keep blowing. where would be the best place to start.

What position fuse is blowing? Underhood fuse panel or dash fuse panel?

Once you find the bad fuse pos, check owners manual on how many circuits are going to that fuse.
Isolate one circuit out of the picture at a time, during troubleshooting. |

its the one inside. its right under the fuse for the 4x4, i believe its labeled "SIR"

The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint system, (SIR) can be extremely dangerous when diagnosing and repairing. You might seriously consider having a qualified technician, at the very least, diagnose the problem for you.

There are several circuits involved with the SIR system and the instrument cluster, including class 2 communications between the body and powertrain computers and the SIR module. It could very well be a problem that does not illuminate the SIR light, especially if you have a blown fuse.
