Transmission Troubles
1996 Camaro RS will not go in drive. You have to start out in D2 then shift geas like a manual. Transmission fluid level is fine but fluid does appear to be a little dark. Fluid was changed about 3 months ago

How many miles and what did the trans fluid look like when it was changed?
I'm guessing high mileage and the friction material that was once in the clutch packs was flushed out. |

The car has 177,000 miles on it. The fluid was very dark
