Sw2 looses electrical power and stalls
Hello-
1998 saturn sw2 manual 100K miles. The car just started loosing electrical power and stalling. This happens once every other day. It usually starts right up after stalling but today I had to wait a few minutes. It acts like a connection is loose but I cant find it ![]() Symptoms: * Battery OK, car starts right up, headlights are bright when engine off. * Dome light very dim, stopped comming on for a while. * instrument lights seem to flicker. * Today I noticed the headlight indicator was flicking on and off like a connection is loose. This happened before the car stalled. * no warning lights and everything else seems fine. Any ideas? ![]() Thanks |

Re: Sw2 looses electrical power and stalls
I'm thinking bad ground(s) somewhere. Check your battery cables thoroughly. Side post batteries can fool you into thinking you have a good connection when you don't. The cables could also be corroded under the insulation, hidden from view.
