What brand of struts did you buy?
In talking to other TB owners it seems like the OE struts don't last, or the design of the TB is hard on the front struts. Anyway I've got a 06 TB EXT with only 29K on it but both front struts are leaking.
What struts did you guys go with? I found on amazon Monroe 71341 Sensa-Trac Struts and Cartridge for $59 delivered. However, not sold on the Monroe, will pay more if I have too, looking for the best price/value point Any advise. |

Check with your local parts places. Monroe and Gabriel are two good brands. You usually get what you pay for. Sensa -trac in Monroe is one of there best grades.

Re: What brand of struts did you buy?
I will probably pick up from Autozone, and buy whatever the brand that has the lifetime warrenty. I keep my vechiles a long time, and it's nice when these parts wear up to get free replacements. However, just interested if anybody has strong feelings on what works best on these TB trucks
Also I need pitman arm and tool to compress the springs, and they loan those for free, so yes amazon cheeper, but then I would have to buy the tools |

got all 4 monroe sensa tracs from rockauto for 199.00. thats with standard shipping. Amazon was 10.00 more. 37241 shocks and 71341 struts. then a 50.00 rebate from monroe for buying all 4.

Re: What brand of struts did you buy?
Thanks,
I just did mostly the same - monroe 71341 struts, but putting on the 58644 load adjusting shocks in the back, as they say they are better when hauling weight. Mine TB is the EXT so I got the extra weight in the back and I often put the seats down, and haul. Monroe shocks now have a new lifetime warrenty and that rebate is still going until may 31, so that seals the deal for me. Also using rockauto. Google the term "rockauto discount code" as there seems to be a bunch of 5% discount codes out there. worked out a little cheeper than amazon |

Re: What brand of struts did you buy?
Nothing wrong with Monroes , besides they come with a lifetime warranty even against normal wear and tear so they will be the last ones you have to pay for if you keep all the paperwork from when you buy them ..
