Issues.

96 T-bird 4.6 sohc auto. So basically my car hates me lol. Just curious if anyone else has experienced and/or has some insight on the problems Im experiencing. The past month my engine has sputters pretty bad. Figured a misfire with a ify spark plug wire but then it stopped. Now it runs good for about 10miles and starts to act up. Power is definately loss as far as push but just more hoping its not too serious. The noise seams to be knocking on the upper driver side of the engine. A lifter I thought but started thinking that, that would be constant, and not at times and bad at times... Thanks you for baring that, lol. And secondly the tension strut on my front passenger side is loose and bad shaky while braking.. Thought it was a warped rotor or pad but checked and notice the moving of my wheel while tightening my tire back on. Looked back under and was able to shake the tension strut with my hand when weight was loaded on it. My haynes manual doesnt discuss this repair and Im clueless. Thank you for reading and possibly helping.

Re: Issues.

Lifters can collapse intermittently. You may have low oil pressure caused by a tired engine, plugged oil filter or the wrong weight oil. Don't drive this car with the front end loose! Take it to a front end shop ASAP!
