Shift knob removal problems
i have a 2003 chevy s10, i went to remove knob and it doesnt twist off so i unscrewed the shaft hoping the knob would drop down. It was all 1 piece. Is it suppose to be all 1 piece or am i not doing something right?

Re: Shift knob removal problems

Re: Shift knob removal problems
if it is column shift it is all 1 piece, floor chift could just unscrew or have a retaining screw at the bottom of knob

Re: Shift knob removal problems
yea the floor shift could be screw on. if so, it might be reverse threaded, or have a locking nut underneath.
it may also have a small allen key screw hidden in there holding it on.
