hot engine
I have an 88 GTU and the heat from the engine is really hot in the car. THe engine is not overheating either. Let's just say. It was in the 40s last night and I didn't need to turn the heater on because there was plenty comig off the engine. Is there a fan or something not working.

Do you have a full interior, or have you stripped out any of the carpet and sound deadener? That'll make a difference.
Heat will also come from weird places. If there's a leak in your catalytic converter, or in any of the exhaust gaskets... it can seep up that way. If bushings around your shifter are bad, you can get some heat coming up through the tranny that way. Rotaries run hotter than conventional piston engines... so any leak where that heat might get into the cabin is magnified on a rotary. |

Heat also finds it's way in through the tranny up through the shifter.
