transmission removal

How tough is to to remove a tranny from an trailblazer (2002 4.2L) with no lift? I've replaced them on S10 Blazers (not fun), is the trailblazer any worse?

Re: transmission removal

About the same as an S10, a PITA, on your back, not recommended.

Re: transmission removal

Since a friend rebuilds transmissions, I gave it a try. The trailblazer was a little easier than an S10 Blazer to remove the transmission, mostly because there is more room around the tranny in the Trailblazer. Still a PITA though. The job cost me much less.
