Dash Question???
Hey! My cavalier is a 94. This may sound stupid, but here goes. My dash feels like it's vinyl covered and has padding underneath. It looks horrible. I was thinking of taking all the padding and vinyl off and painting it. What I'm a little worried about is that there will be holes and stuff in the plastic. I would like to know before I go ripping it apart. Does anyone know?

Re: Dash Question???
I don't believe there are holes, most panels are solid on the back side. If there are any, you should be able to fill them in with JB Weld. My big concern is that the padding is glued to the plastic. You'll have to scrape/sand the whole thing to get it smooth enough to paint, that will mean a huge mess and possibly days of work. Is it bad enough that a vinyl repair kit won't work? If it's that bad, I think I'd buy a cover for it, you may even be able to buy a sheet of vinyl and glue it over the existing dash.

Re: Dash Question???
Well, I figured it'd be a bit messy. My main problem is the dash is this blue-grey color.(Plus green from my windshield leaking.) I want to change my interior color to black. Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll start tomorrow.
