1987 T-bird Wont start

I changed my solinoid and the thing wont start for me
im hearing a buzzing noise from the solinod though
when i tried to boost my car though The car will automaticly start turning over...
no ideas on what to do...?

Wecome to the forum Kushed310. The first thing to do is remove and clean all connections at the battery, solenoid and where the ground cable attaches to the body or engine. Have the battery load tested to be sure that isn't the problem. Autozone and other places will do this for free. With a known good battery and after all connections have been cleaned and tightened you should be able to start the car without using a "jumper" battery. When you say the car will automatically start turning over, I think you mean that you can start the car when you attach another battery to it and not that the engine starts turning over as soon as you attach another battery to it without turning the key to Start. Is this correct?
