3.1 interchange info please.

I have a 2000 Grand Prix SE with a knocking 3.1 . I have a low mileage 3.1 liter in a 1998 Malibu. I understand that there are differences in the heads and intakes, but does anyone know what obstacles I might run into in doing this swap????

the mounts.

The malibu has the dopy side motor mount. (PITA)

I dont think they will be interchangable but I'm not sure.

Re: 3.1 interchange info please.

The Grand Prix is a VIN-J, the Malibu is a VIN-M. There are a lot of subtle differences from the intake/head ports and mounts mentioned already: to throttle body, EGR, various sensors/hoses etc... that may end up making this swap more frustrating than it's worth.
