Re: 95 blazer stalling
Try cleaning the mass airflow sensor.

Re: 95 blazer stalling
1995 doesn't have a mass air flow sensor.
Based on the symptoms, I would check for a leaking fuel pressure regulator and/or nut kit (internal fuel lines). This can sometimes be noticed by a fuel pressure test. Fuel pressure should be tested with the key on, engine off. After the initial prime, look for an immediate leak down. You can also do a visual inspection by removing the Vortec cover and IMTV from the top of the plenum, and looking inside for washing or puddles of fuel. The entire thing should be black, if you see any shiny spots, that is a sign of fuel leakage. Shiny golden spots on the driver's side indicate an internal fuel line (AKA Nut Kit) leak. Shiny golden spots on the passenger side indicate an FPR leak. |

Re: 95 blazer stalling
Correct me if I'm wrong Blazee: Early 95's had the CMFI system and does not have a MAF sensor, but the later 95's had CSFI which does use a MAF sensor. I'm thinkin' if he cleaned it, he must have the CSFI system, if not, no tellin' what was cleaned.

Re: 95 blazer stalling
I think that you may be thinking of the ignition system. The ignition systems changed mid year, easily identified by either vertical or hortizontal connections. It was the transition year for a lot of things. There were also 3 different computer setups. Unique transmission electronics. It was also the only second generation Blazer with a CPI, but that was the only injection system that it came with. The sequential firing injector units didn't come out until 1996. As far as what he cleaned... maybe the MAP?

Re: 95 blazer stalling
I'm aware of all of the changeover stuff, 95 was a pot luck year. Some came with OBDI, some with OBDI.5 and I could have sworn I read somewhere that the last of the 95's produced at the Linden, NJ assembly plant had OBDII with CSFI.

Re: 95 blazer stalling
my friend scanned it with his snapon scanner, it threw no codes but it showed that the coolant temp sensor was showing it was 5 degrees f out, which could be why its running rich
