LOST Key FOB What now..
So i found out I lost my key and my fob
 . It is somewhere who knows where. But my question is this. Can i just get my alarm and all that reprogrammed? I dont know if i lost it walking into my apt. So I dont want to just get a new FOB cause then who ever finds it has access to my vehicle too. If so any idea how much this will cost me? Or is there something else that I need to do? |

Welcome to AF. No mention of year but with proof of ownership any GM dealer can make up a key for you, the alarm, talk to the installer about changing the fob code and possibly the alarm module. This assumes it is an aftermarket alarm, also not made clear.

You can buy FOBs on ebay, programming instructions are not that difficult to find online. As for the "alarm" if you mean factory the new fob will take care of that. When you program the new fob, you will have to reprogram all of them for your car, so the one you lost will not work anymore. The key I have no solution for without re-keying the car.
