greetings.......need assistance to trouble shoot a problem i suspect is abs related...rapid oscillating vibration set off by a particular type of bump i cross ........seems to be more likely set off after passing over an even gap such as passing from pavement to a concrete bridge (even gap)...........will only stop vibrating if i come to a complete stop and then proceed...abs light comes on periodically..have not scanned it yet...........worse in 4whdr.........it is a 2001 ex sportage automatic............thanks seebar

What shape are your tires in?? Possibly a belt seperation in a tire.

Have you checked the front end for worn tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.?

Re: 2001 sportage weird vibration

answering my own question.....r/f axle outer snapring had jumped out of its groove allowing splines on axle & in hub to bounce in & out hense the noise (rapid ocsillation) ...i discovered my hubs are locked in all the time that trick they use because of the vaccuum operated system problems that plaque these vehicles..that aggrevated my problem....i am going to warn hubs...hope this helps somebody else...cheers seebar
