need help - trying to remove inner tie rod end

I have a 2000 ford focus. I am trying to change the inner tie rod end, but am having difficult time removing the inner tie rod end where it connects to the steering. There seems to be no way to get a good hold on it. Any suggestions will gladly welcome.

Auto Zone or Advanced should loan or rent a tool this is a picture.

Use a large crescent on the flat of the rack as you can damage it by putting to much pressure on it. You hold it steady as you remove the end.
Some Fords have a lock pin. Use search A470 is a lock pin removal tool.
If you need more sizes 4012 is a larger set of inner tie rod tools.
