94 camry 2.2L Timing Belt Marks
Still working on the timing belt. I am ready to put the new one on but there are no timing marks or directional arrows on the belt. And it's a Gates!!! Any ideas?

Re: 94 camry 2.2L Timing Belt Marks
The procedure for the 5S-FE engine is described in the FAQ thread. You may also download the '94 Toyota FSM from the linked site in the sticky post at the top of this forum.
The timing marks are on the engine and not on the replacement belt. There are no direction arrows on most belts. You should place a direction arrow and timing marks on on a belt that you will reuse. If you haven't removed the old belt yet, mark the pulleys and old belt for indexing and then transfer the marks on the old belt to the new one - I count teeth on the belts as a reference.

Got the belt on but ad to keep check the marks. The cam shaft kept trying to move. But worked out good. Thanks.
