o.e.m. alarm wont stop

95 automatic 4x4 4runner has an oem alarm. when i bought the car never got the remote nor used the alarm. this was 7 years ago. now a few months back
i had an aftermarket alarm put in, works fine untill now. just recently the oem alarm started working by it self, the security light would trun on (meaning alarm on) when the door was closed, even tho car is lock or unlock. after a while if the door is left open the oem alarm would go off and not stop untill I try to start to two times. the aftemarket one works fine, still turns on and off with the remote. does any one know hoe to deactivate the oem alarm or can any one send me a copy of the wiring diagram

Re: o.e.m. alarm wont stop

Sounds like the people who installed the new alarm wired it in line with the old o.e.m. one. If you disable that one you run the risk of losing your new one. I would take it back to the place that did it and have them wire around that. Sounds like they used the same power wire when they should have ran a new one. Good luck.
