944 Cam belt slipped?
I'm in a bit of a bind, as I'm stuck in Budapest (Hungary) and my 944 has stopped and won't start??
I pulled away from the lights fairly briskly and was changing into second gear when the car lost power and died on me. There was a slight BRRRRR noise? The engine turns over fine but will not fire up. Could it have snapped or slipped the cambelt? I've had to leave it on the side of the street and will return in the morning if it's still there I'll get it to the nearest garage (200 metres away) can anyone help me with advice as I'm stumped |

Re: 944 Cam belt slipped?
if it turns over quickly and sounds like it has no compression most likely timing belt broke , if so valves will need to be replaced at a minimum
