Error code 1391
1997 Ram van 3500, engine light on, code reads P1391. Replaced sensors, both crank and ign, same reading, Engine stalls--help

An intermittent loss of cam or crankshaft position sensor as indicated by code P1391 doesn't necessarily mean it one of the sensors. I'd start wiggle testing the wiring or start taking readings with a meter to look for a loose connection.

Other than the two sensors, the PCM, or the wiring to them, the only other thing that can cause this code is a worn distributor shaft. A worn shaft will wobble and cause an intermittent reading from the pickup coil (cam sensor.)
