3.3l 6 cylinder stumbles when it rains
Hello I have a 1991 olds cutlass with a 3.3l 6 cyl engine 77,000 miles. The engine idles fine, but when it rains it stumbles on acceleration. Any help is appreciated. This is a great car otherwise.

Could be bad plug wires look for cracks around the coil paks also.

Re: 3.3l 6 cylinder stumbles when it rains
I replaced the spark plug wires and spark plugs and no help. I was told it might be the dist. cap? All the sensors are tightly locked in place but that doesnt mean they couldnt be faulty. I would think it is electrical since moister seems to be the problem. Thanks for the replies. It is our family car..

Re: 3.3l 6 cylinder stumbles when it rains
There is no dist cap this is DIS system, you have a module and coil pak, try spraying some water on the coil pak at nite see if you see any arcing.

Hey thanks for the help. I will try that. I also read to spray the coil pack with water to check for arcing.
