test map sensor with ohmmeter?

Have a multimeter and suspect my map sensor is shot. 3.8L '87cierra 90K miles won't start. Can I test for circuit resistance or should I look at voltage drain?

Re: test map sensor with ohmmeter?

Even if it was bad it would start, test for spark and fuel pressure first.

Thanks for the input naked. And Maxwedge, you were right. It does start but is extremely hard to start and runs like crap. Practically burned the starter out trying.
