Question Small Oxygen leak? New Gas Cap?

2001 LXI convert. The check engine light has come on twice, and the code says it's a slow (or minor) oxygen. They recommend getting a new gas cap?

The first time I took it in, the tech cleared out the error, but it came back a few weeks later.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Is a new gas cap the solution?

Re: Small Oxygen leak? New Gas Cap?

Most likely it is the gas cap. It normally happens when you fill up your tank becauwse some people don't tighten the cap enough. I actually had this happen to me on my Durango as well when I was away. it cost my wife $85 for a diagnosis and they reset the gas cap. WHOOHOO!! I am in the wrong business!
