How much fuel pressure drop when starting?

I was just wondering .. My car has 50psi fuel pressure with the key just on.. it holds steady.. when starting the car it dropped to probably about 25-30 psi... Is this a normal thing? or is it going to need bout 50 psi the whole time? If so.. thats why my car wont start anymore

Re: How much fuel pressure drop when starting?

Hmm... I believe that fuel pressure should stay around 40 PSI when running...

Clogged fuel filter (should be changed every 10k miles or so), a bad fuel pressure regulator, or a weak fuel pump could cause this.
