dragging someone while towing?????

ok, this morning we are taking pureadrenalins latest mr2 out to get dyno'd. unfortunately it just got the cage and race seats and harnesses on thursday so haven't had a chance to get it made road legal yet. SO the plan is that i'm gonna tow him out there... well i'm gonna pretend to tow him anyway... i dont think the tow hook is exactly meant for towing other cars. My aim, as i would find this extremely amusing, is for us to embarass someone at the traffic lights on the way, just for a giggle. some little boy racer in his mums car i hope, or maybe an old person, whoever we can fool into thinking a) that we're towing and b) that they couldn't keep up.

i'll let you know if i achieve my goal and i have no doubt we'll get some results on the dyno for you. though it'll be pretty sad for now so don't expect much.

Re: dragging someone while towing?????

lol neither.... kinda wussed out... worked out my clutch REALLY sin't any good for towing and our 15 ft tow rope is just long enough so i could see his indicators and nowhere near long enough for if we screwed a gear change... result... the guy in the Jim's mowing truck beat us. lol

dyno went ok, prob not quite as well as we hoped but it's a start point. had problems with too much boost before putting it on dyno. was developing over 20psi in the inlet manifold (ct26) played around and got it back down to 14psi, put it on the dyno and made 132.5kw. interestingly, spraying water on the intercooler while doing the run made an extra 2kw...

I know that isn't such an impressive number but there's really not too much done engine wise to the car. R1 3" exhaust, new leads etc. HKS filter pod, gutted cat. and an MBC.

I didn't bother doing mine while we were there cause i'll wait till i'm putting the boost up and do a before and after.
