Auto change to manual
I have a 92 Honda Accord EX with a auto tranny, when I get my H22A i want to change the tranny to a manual? how much does that usually run $$ for? and would it be worth it?

guys I realy cant help you that much but I think there are some additional tranny mounts to purchase but to be honest I am not to well versed in the subject. I meet a guy that i have street raced w/ a few times here in houston that had his 3.0 bored to a 3.2 and he added a 5spd gear box. next time i see him i will ask where he got it form. maybe from the acura line?

It is some work to do it but it can be done. Your going to need the shift linkage also and the actual shifter itself. Hmm....i cant think of anything else.

Clutch pedal and all hydrolic/ cable lines that go to the tranny. Master clutch cylinder.. I'm thinking about doing it for my friend's 99ex auto (might be getting an b16a swap w/manual tranny) but i'm not sure if anything else is needed.

you'll need:
tranny (of course) clutch flywheel clutch pedal assembly lines shift linkage shifter slave cylinder tranny mount new guage cluster (if you want) ECU for a manual and the rest i can't remember so i will post more if i remember. and most shops don't want to do it, but if they will usually it will cost you about $1200 labor only. I am doing it in my civic right now, scooter bug listed everything you need except the brake pedal out of a manual accord, and you will need a few additional things for the shifter unless the swap you get comes with them, dust seal, shifter ball bracket. I bought a helms manual for my car and a gsr (the swap engine) I spend about 120 in manuals but IT WAS SO WORTH IT. They will save you so many headaches and you can look at exactly what you need to get down to the size of every nut and screw. |
