transmission problems
I have a problem w/my 97 gmc sonoma 4.3 vortek w/automatic tranny. My service engine soon light came on so I had it checked out. I have 5 issues wrong w/it. 1st tcc circuit malfunction, 2nd & 3rd shift solenoid A & B circuit electrical, 4th shift/timing solenoid malfunction, and 5th manufacturer controller transmission problem. The truck will take off slow then go normal and at high speeds you can tell it doesnt go into overdrive and revs high up into 3000 rpm or higher. But it does this about half the time then the light goes out and its fine until it does it again. Just wondering if anybody out there has had the same issue that may help me out here. If you can reply to this or email me at stephen.reynolds@us.army.mil I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

Re: transmission problems
See problem #3. 97 is by far the worst year for it:
