98 Windstar - Occasional Problems Starting
I have a 98 Windstar. I have been having occasional problems starting my vehicle especially in cold and damp weather. The dash will light up and it makes a noise but the only way to get it going is to put my foot on the gas. I brought it into my mechanic and he said he thought it was the starter and he replaced it. The next day it did the same thing. As mentioned it does not do it all the time. Went back to mechanic and he said to bring it back or have it towed when it won't start so he can put it on the computer to figure out the code.
I asked about the fuel injector sensor but they said it checked out okay and it is not the battery either. Just had a tune up a couple of months ago as well which included getting the injectors cleaned. Any ideas. Thanks |
