MUST SELL 2 FIRST GEN'S!!! Near Reading, Harrisburg PA

Ok, I have 2 First Generation Mazda RX-7's for sale. Why am i selling them you ask? I am a college student, and like every other college student, i need money. My intentions were to fix them up with some friends of mine who have a garage and a shop, but instead i decided to modify my RSX type S, that and my friends suddenly didnt want to help. So now im stuck with 2 cars, one that is totally street legal and runs great, and one that runs great but is not street legal. I am actually located in Pottsville, PA but READING and HARRISBURG are only 1 HR away from me.

The first car i acquired was a copper/gold 1983 RX-7 GSL 12A rotary 5 speed MANUAL with 145,000 miles on it in great condition with a tan interior. I paid $2,400 for it in December 2003. It is PA inspected and passed, the worst thing about it is that it burns a little oil when you drive it above 6,000 RPM and the clear coat is shot. When i purchased it i cleaned the spark plugs, got the compression checked, sanded and primered the two tiny rust spots from rocks hitting the hood, and removed the flaking clear coat form the sunroof. I also changed the oil, air filter, spark plugs, transmission fluid, brake fluid, belts, lubed the joints, and lubed all the hinges i could get my hands on (Thanks WD40!) Transmission and clutch are excellent, interior is fair, body is straight. I am only asking $1,800 or best offer, and yes, you can drive this one home. I drove it home to eastern PA from western Ohio with no troubles at all, and i have since driven it for 2,000 miles with no need for anything but gas. This car is carbureted with a manual choke that starts right up as long as you keep the spark plugs cleaned. Original 13's are fitted with Cobra tires and have 1/4 tread left. Also cruise control, power mirrors, and A/C with functional equalizer, CD player included but not installed.

The second car is a black 1985 RX-7 GSL-SE EFI electronic fuel injection (thats right, its a 13B baby) 5 speed manual with a maroon interior, 148,000 miles. I paid $2,800 in Jan. 2004. This car has a PERFECT exterior other than the paint which needs clearcoated or repainted. No dings or dents whatsoever. However, at this point i am having the clutch replaced. When you depress the pedal, it never returns i.e. no clutch pressure, so to be safe i want it replaced. Also, the turn signal multi-switch needs replaced as it cannot be repaired. The exhaust needs replaced. Compression is perfect, no leaks or belt issues, everything works great. With just the clutch, exhaust, and multi-switch and new tires this car will pass inspection. The original rims have been replaced by the previous owner with 'bling bling' chrome 16's and have 205/(55 or 45's, im not sure) front and rear. This car, while it cannot be driven thanks to the lack of clutch pressure, starts up right off the first time and every time. Power windows, mirrors, A/C, cruise control, Functional equalizer included, cassette deck removed, no head unit installed yet or included, car used to have a very nice audio setup and is prewired for all speakers and rear subwoofers. This car is really the better value, because it is the best model available save the turbo edition and has the better final drive ratio. After around $400-$600 it can be street legal again, plus with the wider rims and tires it will have superior road handling and adhesion than similar RX-7's. Im asking $2,100 or best offer as is, or $2,500 and Ill have it inspected and clutch/switch replaced and ready to go ASAP.

Alternately, $3,600 takes the pair AS IS, or $4,000 with the black one inspected, clutch/switch repaired and everything ready to go, keeping in mind that the copper/gold one is already inspected, passed, and fully drivable.

My AIM/AOL screen name is Somaradred, or you can contact me by email anything@takimotoracing.com or phone (leave your number with message!) at (570) 617 9353

I have seen these vehicles myself. They are nice and are perfect for restoration purposes. Perfect to be fixed up. I also know the owner of these vehicles. He is a nice and honest guy. You wont bedisappointed in these vehicles.
