Idle Surge
I have a 1995 Windstar with 101000 on it. I just rebuilt the motor at 99000 due to low oil pressure. The problem I am having is that when you start it up and shift into drive, the engine surges up and down slightly, causing a jerking motion as you pull out. Besides rebuilding the motor, I've replaced the front 2 O2 sensors, iac, egr valve, and dpfe. Nothing has seemed to help. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Idle Surge
you need to double check all your engine connections. You should also check you MAF is in working order (it is located in the air filter box). Is your throttle body clean?, no crud build up on the backside of the throttle blade? You may also have a vacuum leak, Check your valve cover pcv valve, vacuum hoses and related connections.

Thanks for your input. The thing is, it was doing this prior to the engine rebuild. The throttle body was cleaned during the engine rebuild. Is there an easy way to check the MAF? Thanks for you help.
