Here's the story....
I'm at work (pumping gas..fun, huh?) and this guy walks up and says "hey, do you want to buy a pretty new battery?"
"No, I just replaced mine not too long ago. It's fine."
"Alright. Well, just tell anyone they can have whatever they want out of that little Mazda over there. I'm leaving it".

A few seconds later I glance over to see a burgundy first gen RX-7 (in horrible shape). I walk over and say...
"You're just going to leave it here? You know, if you have the keys and the title I'll take it off of your hands for you!"

He agreed, I got the stuff, and I got a free, non-running, crappy Rex! :sun: :licker:

Free and non-running, but a lot of mod potential. Especially since it probably, if I'm not mistaken, the rotary engine. Which wicked. Take care of it and rebuild it.

I think I might part it out and just take the cash and call it good. But, I might take it to my girlfriend's house...work on it slowly...and drop in a 350 or a 5.0 or something...build some reliability into it.f

Either way, I think it's a pretty good deal, eh?

Yeah, that issue has been raised...so, I'm going to give the California state police a call on Monday and make sure it's legit. But, the guy did have the title, and his signature matched the one on it! So, it seems legit...but I will make sure first, considering I'm on probation.

Yes, I am somewhat lucky Hey, do you think we could keep it at your house? It's either there or at the misses' parents! But, I think it won't be too hard to get running. Oh well. I'll talk to you on ICQ.

Ill ask the ole man... I dont know though cause hes buying a tractor and it would take a bay up... Then the motorcycles are in the other one and one is full of crap... But we might put in an attic so that would free up room.. Where are you parking it now?

It's still at work. I figured your Dad might not want it there, but figured I'd ask. I think with just a little work it'll get running (after all, the guy made it here from Cali!).

Lucky bastard. So seriously, what do you have planned? A rebuild, or some hybrid hyjinx?

Or, with some ingenuity, you could have the biggest, coolest PlayStation2 controller around.
