Post Flooding poblem after replacing 94 3.8 with 95 3.8

My daughter cracked the block on her 1994 3.8 liter v6 automatic, which was in her Mustang. So we found an engine at a junkyard, which is a 1995 of the same type. I understand that the 95 is compatible. After the mechanic installed it, he says it is getting to much gas to the cylinders. He can't figure out why. Please help us!! My daughter has been without a car for two months.

The Mass air sensor is probally shot or dirty. it's on the intake tube, Right after the air filter. The injectors are the same between both years.
actually the engine are the same for 94/95 and in 96 they had a very minor change. all the v6's form 94-98 are interchangable. The v6 shortblock from 99+ can be used with the heads and intake from 94-98.

  • Too much water and not enough antifreeze.
  • Engine tilting from worn out motormounts.
  • Rod being thrown from worn out bearings.
  • Cyclinder pressure from a valve stuck closed, and not letting exhaust out.
  • Head gasket leak, allowing antifreeze and water to mix, and ignorant car owner that keeps on topping off antifreeze.
  • Too much oil in engine, aka 7 quarts instead of 5.
  • Piston Slap

It ended up being a damaged harmonic balancer on the engine that was installed. Thanks for your help, though.
