Trouble with motor swap on a 92 celi

ok so i have this 1992 toyota celica and the motor went out.
So I am replacing it with a 5s-fe just like the one that blew.
the motor I got as the replacement is froma 5 speed, my car is an automatic.
I swapped the flex plate for the flywheel and yes I did put on the spacers so the flexplate would not rub. I went very slow and made sure I swapped everything over properly.
The motor rotaed fine as I was bolting up the torque convertor and I know the motor ran because I saw it come out of the running car.
So I bolted up the transmission and dropped it into the car, everything went smoothly. I wired everyhting up and did all the hoses and stuff.
everything looked great. I go to turn the key and I hear the starter click but the motor does not turn over at all. It will not rotate. I removed the starter and tested it and it was fine and so was the battery, it is new.
I re installed it and still nothing. The car was in park, as it will only let the starter engage in park or neutral. I tried to start it in other gears but nothing, only when it is in park or neutral will it even engage the starter. Since the car is still up on stands with the wheels off, everything else is installed such as suspension and axles, everything is ready to go, anyways I tried to spin the motor by the main pulley with a breaker bar and it does not move at all, it will not rotate not even one millimeter, absolutely no movement.
What in the heck is wrong.
I thought maybe I did something stupid like put the wrong bolts to hold the front ount in and maybe it was hitting the flex plate so I removed them and still nothing, I also made sure the starter bolts were right but they can't penetrate the bell housing either way.
What is going on? I need help.
Any suggestions?????????

Yeah I figured that much, my first thought when it wouldn't spin was take off the tranny because something gt messed up when I put it all together.
The tranny will be coming off this weekend.
