93 Dodge Dakota Electrical Short

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why our 93 Dodge Dakota pickup has lost interior lights, dash lights, backup lights, A/C all of a sudden and all at the same time. Book says it could be #2 fuse but in checking the fuses it's a dummy - no power there. Could it be entire fuse block needs to be replaced or could it be something else causing this? Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. deem@cfl.rr.com

Unsure of your problems. Sounds similar of sorts to my 94' whose dash lights, gas gauge, blower motor switch on medium speeds, sometimes not work - but usually do... Last night the dash lights went out but the turn signal lights both stayed on along with a low buzzing from the seat belt alarm sounding (I hadn't put on seat belt yet). I connected the belt which stopped the buzzer, but dash lights stayed out and signal lights yet glowed on. I hit the evergency flasher button and, shazaam, the das lights came back on but the gas gauge still was not working. This morning the gauge works... Anybody know what's up here? I'm a new owner as of one month and it's only got 79K, one owner (new car trade...) Dale
