Catalytic Converter Removal

I am attepting to remove my old cat (it rattles inside at low RPM) and reinstalling a new one. I drive a 95 4dr blazer...i have unbolted the back flange from the muffler but cannot get the clamp on the front of it to release...does anyone have any suggestions to help get it off?....thanks...

hi DJ ! I HAVE A 92 JIMMY, WE JUST CUT THE PIPE RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT, AND PUT A " TEST PIPE " IN, WE IN MICHIGAN HAVE NO AIR INSPECTIONS SO CHECK WITH YOUR LAWS BEFIE DOING THIS , STILETTO

Cut the bolts with a torch and replace with new ones with the new cat.
