Oil Pan gasket

Is it me or are the front and rear gaskets a little small? Seems really small to me. Anyway, I plan on doing this with my friend and he said we can do it in the driveway. Anyone had experience with this? Anyone have any tips oha quick easy way to do so?

putting a new oil pan gasket in. When i bought them they looked really small but on the box it says they are the front and rear gaskets. Any easy ways to achieve this in my driveway?, my friend says he can do it.

Re: Oil Pan gasket

i just did it last night. the gaskets fit fine and i used silicone sealent on the rest of the oil pan. make sure you have the right gasket

you can do it in your driveway. just jack up the car, drain the oil, remove all of the 10mm bolts from the oil pan (i had to remove a bracked to get to a few of them), then scrape off all the old gasket and put in the new ones and some sealant. be sure to give the sealant time to dry

Re: Oil Pan gasket

most likely depends what sealent you used... if it's silicon based i'd give it 24 hours... that's to be super safe tho
