Jordan Factory Tour
oh yes, went to jordan's factory today. had a free roam around the factory (involving plenty of touching, holding, and picking up of parts. damn, f1 wings are soooo light), Q&A with technical personel, free lunch, watched the qualifying, then a tour of the wind tunnel (because im a club jordan member), driving simulators, sit in real f1 cars (even though i wasn't technically allowed to ) got loads of photo's...big BIG YAY.
i went with a bunch of uni friends, all engineers. we were like a bunch of 9 year-old kids running round disney land. we were like, 'look at that, look, LOOK...its a bare carbon fibre tub of the car...ooo, ooo, look, the pattern for the wishbones....' Damn, i love been around engineering people . (oh yeah, stopped at 'ye olde english' style pub on the way down too) photo's later (used conventional film SLR, so no photo's till i get them developed) and if i aint said it before, today was absolutely wicked. well worth the Ģ25 that i paid. oh and i was quick on the simulator too |

The chicks, man, tell us about and show us the chicks, they are the stars of the Jordan team.

Re: Jordan Factory Tour
You do realise that pit chicks are often just the local strippers don't you Veyron
Much cheaper to go to their club than the F1 too |

Re: Re: Jordan Factory Tour
Maybe that's why the Jordans are so slow. Too much eye candy for the engineers, they can't focus...

as promised, heres (some of) the photos
pit stop challenge. yeah!! that was pretty fun, i imediately went on the driving simulator after this. those tyres are so light...i couldnt belive how light they were. here, well...yeah. here me and my uni mates seem to be draping ourselves over the car in a very camp way moving swiftly on. this is the tub. i presume of the 2004 car a couple of old cars. im liking this new camera oh, one of them had a loose fuel filler cap (im an engineer, it had to be opened. oh, thats NOT my girly hand in the photo by the way). also, it seems to have been alesi's car at one time. i HAD to sit in it (im an engineer AND racing driver ) now, im a very skinny person, but i had a lot of trouble getting into alesi's seat. he is one short skinny bloke. heres a 40% (i think) scale model for the wind tunnel...all nicely painted. and various shots of various engines oh yeah...there are more, but either i couldnt be bothered to scan them or they are on another roll of film that still needs to be processed. damn, that was such a wicked day |
