sr20det mpg?
Hi, i'm new to automotiveforums.com, and i have a real quick question. Those of you with a sr20det under the hood of your car, how many miles per gallon do you guys get with that engine? I"m wondering because i'm considering buying a car with that engine in it and it needs to be my daily driver.

Re: sr20det mpg?
That's not necessarily true. Depending on the setup of the car it can be quite a fine daily driver if you just keep it under boost. If you plant your foot everywhere you go, well, then, you'll be paying out your ears for gas.

No one answered the yet, but I think its 24 mpg and 27 mpg on the highway. (driving very conservatively )
On the other hand, 17 mpg when the foot is on the metal!! I have a lot of upgrades and maybe that why I have a good mpg when I drive reasonably. If you are running stock piping then the numbers will differ. Keep in mid I have the following HKS iridium spark HKS turbo back (down pipe, cat back "hyper" all 3inch) HKS air intake HKS front mount HKS sequential BOV MSD ignition 10w30 Mobil one synthetic 16 Enkies, rims with 215. Ps, I shift on 2000 rpm to get the good gas milage and I keep my tier on 32 all of the time. |

Re: sr20det mpg?
I get about 25 miles to the gallon. Mods i have are down pipe, cat-back exhaust, and intake. Hope it helps you decide.
