Tamiya Sprays on what?

I did a search and I came up with LEA for the heirarchy or paints...

as in acrylics over enamels over laquers. however, I have a question.

Since tamiya spray is an 'acrylic based' laquer, what should I do if the primer coat is acrylic and I want to use the TS over that?

"Acrylic based" lacquer is far from "Water Based" Acrylic...

U should still go by the LEA rule... treat anything that is not lacquer as being not lacquer not will get eaten up by lacquer.

U should use a Lacquer based primer if u want to put TS over that.

Re: Tamiya Sprays on what?

Where did you find the lacquer, enamel, acrylic rule and what is the basis of the rule?
Other than enamel being riuned by lacquer what is the theory behind acrylic last?

Re: Tamiya Sprays on what?

I have always been told Tamiya spray is "synthetic lacquer", whatever that means...
