new engine

i plan on putting together a new engine for my camaro, and my friend was tellin me about the 408 small block and how you can get alot of horsepower out of that block. however i don't know where to get one that is meant to fit in the 98- 02 camaro, or which company is the best to buy parts from, any help is appreciated.
Thanks

408 small block on a 4th gen f-body?

You can do anything but youd be better of with an LS1... its one of the best engines GM has ever came out with. Also you can get a stroker kit (383, 427 etc...) That will be a badass combo but expect to throw down some serious $$$

so you think that if i totally did out the Ls1 it would be better than a totally done out 408 small block with carburator

Also my friend was asking me if the 93-97 camaros have the same frame and all (just different body parts) as the 98- 02 camaros, but i wasn't fully sure.......also which body parts are different
