My daughter says on mornings, her brakes don't work, until she has stopped and started 10' at a time for 5-8 times. I should add, she had the pads done a couple months ago. It's very apparent when she backs out of the garage and has to stop going down the driveway.

Welcome to AF!
The front calipers are self adjusting. The rear drums could be in need of adjusting if it wasn't done when the shoes were put on if she had rear shoes put on. The most obvious thing to me is that there is some air in the system and it takes several stops to get the pedal pumped up enough to stop with one push. If she had a shop put on new pads not long ago she should take it back and explain what is happening. Sounds like a very unsafe situation to me. Does the pedal go all the way to the floor or does it have a good pedal, but no braking action? The pads could be contaminated with grease or brake fluid. I really need more info to make a call on this one.
