i just bought a 1991 auto jeep cherokee laredo for $200cdn from my work. it seemed to run well so i took the insurace off my neon and put it on the jeep to get ready for mud season :naughty:
a few days later though i noticed that under hard exeleration the jeep wouldn't shift unless i feathered the throttle. it just sticks in each gear till i let off a bit. and sometimes it shifts down randomly. but if i start off easy from a stop it ok but it takes FOREVER to get up to speed. im confused as heck and dont really want to pour a bunch of money into it cause its for the most part just my bush vehicle. I NEED HELP!!!:crying:

Check your MAP sensor, it can cause shifting problems. It is located on the firewall and has a vacuum tube going to it from the intake. Check the vacuum line while you are at it.
